DM Computing launch Disaster Recovery Service

DM Computing have just lauched a new service for our customers for Disaster Recovery. This service is being sold as the IT Risk Manager.

The main objective of this service is to minimise the down-time in the event of a serious server problem. This could either be a software problem that requires re-building the server or a hardware problem that requires replacement of a component or replacing the entire server. Issues such as these can have a serious impact on any business and can result in lost revenue, lost customers or worse still, loss of the business itself.

The IT Risk Manager service allows us to recover a server in less than 2 hours. Once the daily backups are restored, the the server should be fully operational as if nothing had happened. As part of this service, we will also keep a spare server so that this can be used if there is a hardware fault that cannot be repaired or replaced within an acceptable timeframe. This solution allows us to recover the server to completely different hardware.
